Highlights of the show at the Orange Airport
The C.H.Brown steam engine was built in Fitchburg in 1909/10. It developed 125 horsepower with a 13" bore and a 34" stroke. It weighs 12 tons and has an 8 foot diameter flywheel. It was used to power the Smith & Day Co. and the Bourn, Hadley and Fairbanks Mfg. located on Mill Street in Baldwinville, MA. It last ran in 1949.
